Both sets are for the "language sets" section of my collection. In this area I want to collect all my favourite Catan sets in each language they are available in.
The two new games are:
01. Colonistii din Catan Europa (Romanian Merchants of Europe)
This cool spin-off game has been released in a number of languages. I am only missing the Danish and Polish versions. Currently I have the Dutch, English, Italian, Bulgarian, Czech, Romanian, Spanish, German, Swedish and Russian editions. Interestingly both the Bulgarian and Czech versions are not listed on BGG so it does make me wonder if this set is available in other unlisted languages too.
02. Catan Comori, Dragoni & Exploratori (Romanian Treasures, Dragons & Explorers)
First released in 2009 this has become a must have set for many Catan players. The set has been released in 10 languages, 11 if you count the English version to be released in July. In the original German language it has also had three different editions. It started as a shrink wrapped set with minimal text, before the third version in the bronze coloured box with the dragon on the front.
Of the 10 current languages I have the German, Bulgarian Dutch, Italian, Romanian and Spanish editions. I am missing the French, Chinese, Polish and Slovenian.
In July this year it will be released in English as Treasures, Dragons and Adventures, which is great news. Well done to Asmodee for listening to what Cataners want! Personally I am going to pre-order the English set from Catan.com as soon as I figure out how many copies I can justify.
