As well as collecting Catan games, I am also a huge fan of collecting Catan advertising and memorabilia.
While it can be hard finding old Catan advertising I am fortunate my promotional banner collection continues to grow.I was very fortunate recently to acquire four banners by Kosmos from 2005 promoting the special edition Gold box version of Catan. I was also able to acquire two other Kosmos banners promoting Catan Junior and the Catan base game.
Of the new banners I am most interested in the black banner as I have never seen any Catan advertising before that used photos to represent resources.This is an unusual design and I am very happy to have it in my collection.
These new banners join an existing one I purchased a couple of years ago promoting the Catan range, from back in 2003.
As well as banners my goal is to also collect shop display materials too. I have been trying for a few years to find a Return to Catan display container used for in-store promotions, and sadly I recently missed out on a Kosmos store display unit too.
