Is the Earliest English Card Game German?

On this site I have a page that documents the various forms of the English Catan Card Games.

My page covers from the earliest "The Settlers of Catan Card Game", then the "Catan Card Game", then into "The Rivals for Catan" and finally with "The Struggle for Catan." I cover the base sets, the expansions, the print versions and the promotional cards for these different card games.

I believed I had managed to document the complete history of the English releases from the very earliest 1998 game.

The game uses the yellow Kosmos logo that existed for only a very short time on Catan games, before being replaced by the blue and white Kosmos logo used today.

With finding this set and adding it to my archive, now the earliest English card game could be said to be German!
